Put it back together and got some compression numbers

Even though it’s low on #4 I am still wondering why it’s not firing on 3 cylinders instead of 2

I will add oil to that cylinder to see if it raises compression

I am hooking my noid lights to the injectors that aren’t firing to see if they get a signal to fire

I will update once again when I do that

Thanks everyone

I read back, and I 'think' you said #2 and #4 were the 'dead' ones.. correct?
Curious, how did you arrive at this? Exhaust manifold temps?

I found those cylinders dead by unhooking the injector plug while the engine was running.

No change in the miss with those 2 unhooked

I also squirt some oil in cylinder 4 to see if it raised compression and it did not

Now the problem lies in the head for sure
More than likely needs a valve job

LOL, I 'edited' mine about the exact same time you replied!

Ouch, those numbers aren't great. I don't know that it is in the head for certain, but you have to pull the head no matter what now. Both so that you can get the head pressure checked for cracks (and might as well plan for all new valves since you are doing it) but ALSO to have a deep inspection of the cylinder liners. I'm wondering if maybe you have a crack in a liner.

Three cylinders that far out of balance with the #1... Something has definitely happened in there, this obviously needs more investigation.

FYI bad rockers can cause bad compression numbers.

A leak down test will tell you much more than a compression test.

I have already inspected rockers and swapped rockers with a known good cylinder
No change

Needs head work or lower end work
