All my additional gauges lights are wired into the same point in the fuse panel. I couldn’t find a dimmable circuit so they are always full brightness. My $10 temp gauge with blue backlight is a bit too bright for nighttime.
Neat thing about the Glowshift Gauges is, it has 7 different backlit colors to pick from, some are much more toned down than others. Can change color with just the touch of a button on the face of the gauge. They also are available with tinted faces.

BTW, my $10 trans temp gauge, on a hot summer afternoon, stock cooler, AC on, will read:
190-210F when in slow moving city traffic.
165-185F when cruising at highway speeds.
Very glad you posted this on temperatures!
I was going to ask about what temperatures drivers are seeing in hot weather.
First drive yesterday into town, temps got up to just a little over 200 degrees on new gauge. (see picture) Outside (ambient) was 98 on EVIC and humidity was very high.
Plans are to monitor gauge temperatures for a few days so when I install an additional transmission cooler next week I will be able to see some good effect hopefully.
