My clutch fan has gone on strike. There has been a mention here of mod to fix the fan. Can someone give me a bit of info on that? A 11 blade from GM. has also been mentioned, can somebody let me know the part numbers for that? Thanks P. |

I strongly recommend the 11-blade fan and clutch upgrade. A/C performance in start-stop traffic under 100°F-plus ambient temperatures has been vastly improved. Can't think of any downsides in the three months or so that I've had both of them in there. Also, take a look at the most recent posts in that thread before you order anything. It looks as though there's a possible part number change on the Hayden fan clutch, but we're still trying to figure out what's going on with that. |

Yes, even according to Hayden's site, there appears to be a part number change. 2986 no longer available, 2786 is new part number for the fan clutch. |
