Putting my 05’ 2.8L crd away for the winter. What maintenance should I look into doing this winter? It has almost 200k on it and I just did the timing belt, water pump, thermostat and all that good stuff last winter. Has an egr delete on it already. I’ve heard the samco intercooler hoses and motor mounts should be replaced. What are your thoughts and anything else I should look into?

Keep it somewhere well insulated from rodents. They LOVE wiring insulation and hoses of all sorts.

If you use biodiesel or any B% fuel, drain it. Really bad bacteria likes to sludge things up when it sits.

Kind of depends on where you are (Florida vs Alaska); storage conditions (outdoors uncovered vs heated garage); storage for how long; etc.

Not sure why you mention replacing Samco CAC hoses and motor mounts as storage has no impact on either.

This isn’t asking about the storage sorry. Garage in Michigan. I’m asking what things I should look into replacing while it is parked all winter. What maintinence things I should do. Sorry for confusion

In addition to things already mentioned:
Keep your battery charged. If I'm not using mine for an extended time, I remove it and put it on a maintenance trickle charger.
Around here, I also put a de-humidifier in the rig so mold doesn't grow.
Put it up on blocks so the tires don't flat-spot if it's going to be 6 months or so.
Diesel doesn't produce the solvents Gasoline does, so it's not prone to acids forming in the engine oil if stored used.
If you start it and let it run to operating temperature every month or so, it helps gaskets and seals to stay in good condition. If you do this, leaving the battery in the vehicle would be OK.
