Sitting at a red light yesterday.
On green, I wanted to blaze ahead of a pickup in the next lane.
I put my left foot on the brake while coaxing the throttle to pre-spool.
GREEN!
nada.

Get home and scan: p0001.
Jeep was running absolutely normally, and I drive fairly aggressively most of the time, caffeine-reliant.
In other words, blaze from a stop regularly but never double-foot.

So, could dual-footing somehow be responsible for fritzing the pressure solenoid???

"Oregon Injectors" gives useful online info re diagnostics through system-pressure measurements, but specify that if the solenoid is removed it should be replaced.
(Time to grab a hammer)

Thoughts?

Thanks

Keywords: hit brake and sudden loss of power fuel starved starvation choke gutless grrr blah blah

Makes sense. Brakes, traction control, throttle, all 'tied' together..

This is a known "issue" that can be programmed to be removed (think GDE). It is a preventive measure to cut power if for some reason the gas pedal gets stuck and you have to romp on the brake to stop the vehicle. The computer senses that both are being depressed and cuts fuel delivery (I think).

Hmmm. I was gunna say, I’ve never had this happen but I’ve had a gde hot tune almost as long as my Jeep.

If you do like 5 drive cycles or even 1 and it goes back to normal the answer to your question is yes.

How about one cycle and normal!
Apparently it "reset" itself.

Sat overnight, and today Shazzam; Rocket Sheep!

Thanks, Crew!

If you were in a situation where a rear tire started to spin, it could be your stability control. Try pushing the traction control disable button on top of the steering column.
