I've removed my intake and am waiting for parts to install new rockers, I didn't see these "Fuel Injector Plates" when I disassembled everything.

I've had an injector seal leak in the past and successfully replaced it and never saw one then either.

What are they? Has somebody replaced seals before I owned the Jeep and forgotten to reinstall them? Are they sitting flush in a bore?

Thanks!!

They are dime or so size steel plates lightly pressed into the valve/cam cover right where the crow's feet that hold the injectors in place pivot.

Yep. They can come loose (rare, but does happen) I don't know if they are crimped or rolled in place, or a dab of glue...
and during the cleaning of the intake, end up in in 'parts unknown'..

They must be in place!! Keeps the end of the hold down fork from chewing down, and losing the pre load on the injector.
