Post subject:  exhaust fumes
Hi all,
I'm noticing exhaust fumes in engine bay. I thinks coming from passenger side of engine. Can you tell me where to look to find the problem?
Also can you tell me where the fresh air intake is on this jeep?
I want to avoid exhaust fumes in cab at all costs.

Your downpipe is on passenger side, also the egr tube is at the rear of the exhaust manifold on that side and goes behind the head around to the driver side

The air intake is just in front of the bottom of the front windscreen.
No filter on this intake....I have seen posts from a Greek KJ owner showing a filter assembly available there but this seems to pretty hard to find.

There is also a grid inside the cabin under the glove box that is more of an outlet filter for the re-cycle function...this gets clogged up with dirt internally and needs a good vacuum from inside.

So most likely the downpipe or EGR tube as mentioned above. :wink:
