If you have not done so, you should tie the transmission vent on top into the transfer case vent hose using a "Tee".
The OEM transfer case vent hose runs all the way to the firewall to keep water out of the case.
The transmission vent on top of the transmission housing from the factory is a very short metal line that is not connected to anything.
So if you get the transmission below water level, water can enter the case.
It is very simple to add a short piece of rubber hose and a clamp to this metal vent and then cut and "Tee" it into the OEM transfer case hose already in place using 3 clamps .
Did this on mine several years ago right after I got it.
This is a simple but very worthwhile mod especially if you ever encounter any deep water....
