Jeep had been running great. Drove to Texans game tailgated went to game the started driving home. Jeep died in stop and go traffic down street from stadium and would not restart. Checked a few days later and it threw P0340 Camshaft Position Sensor “A” Circuit Bank or Single sensor. Sensor has now been replaced but will not crank. It would start to turn then stop very quickly and still threw the code at first. Disconnected battery let sit and tried again and now it doesnt really try to turn and throws no codes. Tried jumping before disconnecting battery and only clearing codes with blue driver.

At some point before replacing sensor on one of several tries to crank it threw a P0183 Fuel Temperature Sensor “A” Circuit High only once.

Now not throwing any codes but barely trying to turn. So thinking this is a wiring issue do you concur?

"Barely trying to turn over" definitely first needs the battery to be tested, the battery connections to be clean and tight, the negative battery lead going to chassis to be clean and tight and the grounding strap from engine to chassis to be clean and tight both ends.

Also check the connections on starter motor/solenoid...check the CPS connector is on firmly.

Some owners have received new CPS sensors that were dead on arrival. :?

Wiring errors on the 2006 LHD CRD can be caused by the Fuel Filter Head Mounting Bracket damaging the wire harness behind it. Remove this bracket and check for damage to the harness in that area....wires could be shorted to chassis or a wire could be shorting to another wire in the harness in that area.

Did end up having an issue witth the battery which was new and under warranty but that did not solve problem. Replaced Crankshaft Sensor and still not turning. Timing belt is broken. Will be replacing and go from there. Hopefully no big issues.

Dang, went from a simple sensor issue to "Timing belt is broken", WOW.
If it broke the timing belt, plan on pulling the intake to inspect for broken rockers which occurs when a timing belt breaks due to it being an "interference" engine.

How many miles on the rig, many here would suggest if you have a high mileage head to pull it off and replace the exhaust valves at least. When my belt broke it took out 6 rockers, I was at speed on the freeway. The cams... where just fine! I replaced the head and saved the other for a rebuild, no visible damage to the head though.

Agreed, if you pull the head for any reason, replace all the exhaust valves.
