I replaced the U joints about two months ago, now I have an increasing driveline wobble.

Any ideas where this wobble is coming from?

Did you index the yokes before dis-assembly? Of course you did right. Are you sure you seated the ujoints completely? Were there any balancing weights on the shaft? Are they still there if so?

Have you rechecked the joints for tightness and made sure there is no excess movement?
Also check the boomerang (rear upper control arm) bushings and ball joint for any excess play.
This could affect pinion angle which could affect driveline vibrations.

Yes.

Alright, how did you get the u-joints out. Bang the S... out of them in a vice with a hammer.... Did you "bend" anything.

Very strange, I used to do transmission and drive line work all day going through college.

Also check the boomerang (rear upper control arm) bushings and ball joint for any excess play. They were all replaced by the dealer in June of this year.
This could affect pinion angle which could affect driveline vibrations.

Took the driveshaft out and had it checked at the local FleetPride Trucking driveshaft machine shop, and all u-joints are seated properly.

The tech thinks that it may be the yoke dampener but he can't be sure cause he can't test it for vibrations since he doesn't have the proper connector for this little driveshaft. He said although it looks OK, it would need to be tested.

Have you heard of a yoke going bad on these?

And according to the dealer parts department, yokes are no longer available...

Hello, WW Diesel...

Are you saying that replacing the parts you mention in your previous post, may solve the vibration?

The tech was speaking of a Slip Yoke - Mopar (5143207AA) that is no longer available. I think that it was made by a company called American Axle Manufacturing out of Detroit for Chrysler.

If anyone has had this vibration experience, I'd like to hear from you.

No, I thought you were referring to the yoke & flange at the rear. :(

Several of the big online Mopar sites along with several other online vendors still list the part number you listed. 5143207AA
Be forewarned, they are pricey!
