Well after many months of researching and replacing parts I fixed my Dreaded Limp mode problem.
It was Sticking /frozen vanes and a broken primary vane actuator arm inside turbo
I guess with vanes stuck in max boost position it was easy to overboost and did not throw a code stating exactly what was causing it so it was harder to track down.

-Was getting air in fuel so I replaced fuel head and added fuel pump in tank -still had Limp mode
- replaced MAF -still had Limp mode
-full egr delete-still had Limp mode
-replaced vacuum actuator -still had Limp mode
-replaced all turbo hoses and hose going to turbo from air box-still had limp mode
-disconnected vacuum port on turbo, arm moved fine-still had a limp mode
Pulled turbo and found that arm was broken acyvating vanes ,so actuator would move but all vanes were seized up and could not be broken free ,instead of replacing vanes on my turbo initially I bought a new Sasquatch Turbo and have not had a limp mode since. Just adding this so it can be found in a search for Limp mode issue since I never seemed to find this info when I was looking for it . Good luck folks and hopefully someone will find this info useful since I still see folks asking about it and the same info is being given out .

Thank you, Dzldust!

Your experience should prove to be quite valuable to other Liberty CRD owners.

With all that you have upgraded, you should have a reliable ride for quite a long time.

WOW!
I believe you are the first to report this particular failure and discovery?
Thanks for sharing, this information may be very helpful to some poor soul in the future chasing the same gremlins.

Which turbo did you get OEM or the other one from Sasquatch?

Glad you got your rig working, what a goat rope!

This is first I have heard of this problem also.
At least almost all you did you received some value from and some spare good parts and now its fixed.
Great Job tracking it down.

What turbo did you have that failed? OEM Garrett, or something else?
