I have a 2006 Liberty 2.8CRD. I had to replace the TCM about a year & a half ago due to it failing. I am now having many of the same issues(jerks mightily into reverse, but slips & won't shift in drive, throwing P0700 code). I dropped the valve body & solenoid yesterday & cleaned them well, filled the transmission back up & it is back to doing the same issues. If anyone can give me any ideas I would greatly appreciate them. Thanks.

The TCM's are really tough. I wouldn't be surprised if the TCM swap just reset some pin connection to the TCM. I chased all these issue hunting P0700 and P0714 codes. Ended up it was a shorting wiring harness from the TCM to the transmission. :banghead: Took 6 months to figure out on and off with the symptoms coming and going. Found it near the A/C reservoir on the passenger side firewall.
