Post subject:  Any Desirable, Valuable, Easy to Sell Parts off an 06 CRD?
Hey All,

Pretty new to the CRD's, Love them and am currently building one out to be my world traveler and livable off grid for a couple weeks.

Anyways, I'm in the process (my roommate is the diesel mechanic) of swapping a great motor off a wrecked CRD into a CRD with a blown motor.

Are there any parts that are especially valuable, desirable, and / or easy'ish to sell, that I should hang on to?

I don't have a lot of storage and am in the process of selling everything I own as I'm downsizing in preparation for my move to Tanzania, but I could use the money and thought if I asked this crowd, it could be a Win Win for everyone. I will be willing to sell all parts a great, but fair, price to move them quickly as I will no longer have a place to store them after 3/1/2019.

Need to know asap as I'm renting a shop and only have until Wed. Sorry for the late post...was a last minute project.

IMO, the most valuable parts, assuming they are still in good usable condition, are:
Cylinder head
full set of pistons with rings and rods
intake manifold with camshafts
turbocharger (and maybe exhaust manifold)
intercooler
ECM
TCM

There are plenty of others such as the transmission and transfercase but those are kinda difficult to packup and ship.

Where are you located? I'm interested in a few things, potentially, but they are mostly larger items that wouldn't ship cheap. Listing your location might open you up to some locals who can grab the bigger stuff without worrying about shipping.

Curious if a gasser uses the same tranny and transfer?

Sent you an email - I know of someone looking for an 06 CRD BCM, which is the fuse box under the dashboard.
