Here probably in a month or so I'll pull the motor out of our parts liberty and I'll post throughout the engine rebuild. It's already partially broken down. I can't wait to make it all pretty like the one I did this summer.ImageImageImage

The motor in the parts liberty had a blown head gasket and had a significant amount of sludge in one of the cylinders. We'll see how the rest of it looks when it's broken down all the way.

You guys like to paint your engines! We have this one in Massey Ferguson red. King Dean has painted his Caterpillar Yellow. I wonder what will be next? Maybe John Deer green?
Probably would be a fun thread to start ~ What color have you painted your CRD engine?

I agree.... these engines look great when they are painted up and detailed. Caterpillar Yellow with black accents would be very nice!

If you really hate your engine, you could paint it Ford blue. :ROTFL: :ROTFL:

I didn't think of john deere green. Just did a little semi restoration paint job on my 318. Even found new decals for it. Image

We replaced the rocker arms on the red motor. It had a blown head gasket had to be broken down anyway so Figured might as well.ImageImage

We were actually pretty lucky with my fully stock limited crd a roller bearing for one of the rockers in it failed and looked like it exploded. Luckily no trash went down into the valve.
