Busted Jeep. Anyone need parts?

Lady’s and Gentlemen. I have come to this forum a year ago an never was active. But I learned a lot about my Jeep Liberty CRD. I became a fan of her and Started an instagram page for her (Project_Jeep_Ugly) I love her and it pains me to report that she has gotten out of my 20 year old finance hands.

She broke her timing belt on my way to work and with 2 shops inspection it’s been reported my timing belt has snapped after only 50k miles on it. Dealership says it can be fixed. But requires an engine swap and I’m not sure if I can sink the 4K they want for it all into her.

With that all said I decided I will be selling parts or selling her.

As is if you want to fix it. $1,500 (negotiable, just want to get some money out of it) she has new tires on her 31” BFGoodrick KO2’s with less than a month old. (1,500 miles most) Old Man Emu Suspension 1.5” lift with less than 2000 miles on them and all the front end was rebuilt last year. Only thing she needs is the engine fix.

I am also willing to pull parts if nobody bites

Tires I will sell my set of 5 Rims Included to anyone in the Florida Pinellas County area for $1000 (245/75r16 BFGoodrick KO2s)

Need a computer? Make an offer. I want to get the parts out to the community for use than just let them rot in a junk yard.

I love you all and I love this Jeep. But hopefully someone can give her new life I can’t or get some use out of her.

A little more information would be nice.
Why are they saying it needs a whole motor, is the block busted?
Year model
Mileage
Body condition
Interior condition
any other mods been done other the the ones you listed?
any pictures?

Yes more detail would be nice.
The Jeep is a 2005 liberty that is just under 160,000 miles. Her belt broke while driving and that is why they say it would just be better to swap her out. There is a little bit of damage from the previous owner taped a deer. I don’t know how to post pictures on mobile but when i get to my computer i can see what I can do to upload it. The extirior paint is good contain minus some places where my brother spilled a bit of paint on it and some trailing scratches. The interior needs a lot of love unfortonetly. It was an off-road daily driver and I did my best to protect it.

Most likely it just needs a new belt and rockers, the dealers like most shops no berry little about these engines, the rockers are designed to break if the belt fails. I pick and flip them like this all the time.

The color and Limited or sport would also help. Is there water in oil? Is there oil in coolant? Pic when you get a chance as u stated.
I doubt that the dealer would even do a swap for $4000 and guarantee anything. They would certainly have about $3000 in any complete motor they would be willing to guarantee 90 days or more. Have you tried to crank it? If so does the engine turn over or rotate completely? If it does I would think it could be repaired for about $800 and 15 hours or little more of your time, but you could spend much more to do bulletproof work while you are there like ARPs etc.

I may be interested in whole jeep.

Sorry this weeks been hell. Just now realizing that the Jeep, even though it didn’t bother me st all when buying, isn’t in good visual condition. She was suppose to be fictional over visual.

But she is tan/green color with a tan interior. J didn’t see water or oil anywhere it’s not suppose to be. I don’t recall if I mention she is EGR deleted with out codes. The air intake hose from filter to turbo was just replaced. If you email me asking for pictures I will send them your way. I still have no idea how to post the pictures on here. And interms of fixing her. I don’t make a lot of money and I don’t have money saved for her. She has become too much for me and if you think you can get her running make me an offer. I can tow her up to 100 miles from her origin (Clearwater Fl) to help offset towing cost. I don’t care what the offer is st this point. I don’t want her near me or I will sink money I don’t have into her again.

too far away for me but Geordi may well be interested. To post pics easiest is to host on site like Imgur which is free and post a link to them. I think you should be able to get at least the $1500. I would ask for a little more if you are including the almost new tires.
