Question for those who have a Webasto install in the CRD.

What is the maximum coolant temperature you can reach , and what method are you using to mesure the temp. ?

Thanks

The default Webasto heater temperature set point is 129F.

To increase from 129F to 164F, switch the black wire in Pin #3 to the empty Pin #1 position on the 6-pin connector.

X2... I didn't know that either.

It would have been nice if Webasto Thermo & Comfort North America had given me a heads up on this.

Since there is a discrepancy it would be best to contact Webasto tech directly:

Phone: (800) 860-7866

or

Email: https://techwebasto.com/custsuppreq-2/custsuppreq.html

Report back what you find out?

I did the test this morning, outside temp was -4f , the Webasto ran for 30min.

The temp from the obdII was 127f before I started the engine, it started fine even with two dead glowplugs. Once the engine was running the temp. went down a little bit. Didn't take really long while driving , maybe 10min , to reach 195F and get my feet nice and warm. Thanks to the Webasto and the HDS thermostat housing...... The 2 best CRD mods for cold climate !!!

So 129f sound about right !! Not sure if you really need more than that but It would be nice if it was fully adjustable.

Thanks for confirming.

I've got the Webasto as well as the blower fan wired up to a data connection so I can control them with a mobile app from anywhere. This allows me to defrost the windows without the engine running. I like the 164F set point for this purpose.

I am still a little concerned about the discrepancy between the 164 degree temperature set up you informed us about and the 170 degree claim by Webasto.

I agree that PZKW108 would best be served by contacting the Webasto tech line directly.
