| Post subject: | Bushing opinions |
Looking for every ones opinions on polyurethane bushing. They are a bit stiffer and last a lot longer and take wear and tear better then rubber. However, last time I used polyurethane bushings they squeaked really bad and I remember reading someone only bushing with teflon in them dont squeak. They Don't squeak, the reason people have problems is they don't properly lube the 2 piece poly bushings, so when the 2 poly pieces move independently of each other you get a squeak. The kj uses 1 piece bushings so they don't squeak. To avoid the squeak on the 2 piece bushings the part needs to be drilled and have a grease zerk installed so you can grease betweene the two poly pieces. What’s the procedure for installing the poly bushings? The old rubber bushings aren’t that easy to remove. |

As a pro I may have axess to tools you don't but the easiest way is to burn it out then air hammer or use a chisel to remove the pieces and I use a bushing press kit but you can use a press and some adapters. |
