I watched all the videos on the weeks kit from gitit and others and I thought I was ready to order kit 1 and 2 from sasquatch. When I went on the site they have a new kit that replaces the two part weeks kit. I can't find any information on the new kit. My questions are... 1. If this kit keeps the FCV to help with shutdown (and runaways mabe) will I still use the same egr delete tune that deletes the egr and the fcv. 2. Has anyone used the new kit. 3. Is the new kit better than the two part kit |

1) you could probably do it either way, but with block-offs on both ends, it looks like you are either going to need a software delete or to dangle the EGR down there by itself. 2) unknown 3) looks like parts from original 2 part kit minus the new elbow and silicone joint associated hardware, and plus a second block-off for the intake side. Looks simpler and fewer steps, but I'd rather not keep the broken butterfly and clogged stock elbow if I don't need them. Doesn't clear up access to flow plugs as much as the original kit. There is NO FUNCTION FOR RUNAWAYS in the FCV or the computer. Just forget about that old wives tale, it doesn't exist. This "new" kit retains much of the factory plumbing, b/c people were complaining that the older design was too expensive. I guess they don't like "easy to service" as part of the option for that older setup. There may be another source for that tube at some point in the future - I am working on it. |

So the elbow kit which eliminates the FCV and stock elbow is no longer available? That's a real bummer! ![]() ![]() |

Yeah, I'm disappointed in that decision, but like I said - I'm going to be working on an alternate option. |

Looks like Seth could at least offer both kits: one the lite kit using the stock elbow and FCV, and two the full kit which eliminates the FCV and stock elbow for those that want to get rid of all that unnecessary junk? ![]() |

But if you turn the ignition off doesn't the FCV close? I believe the FCV only closes for a second when the ignition is turned off then re-opens immediately. I should know because I had a runaway (turbo blew and filled the cooler with oil,,,,, put new turbo on, but didn't clean out the oil,,,, started it up and it went to 4000 rpm until all the oil was blown out of the system). Turning the ignition off immediately did not stop it. Pretty scary, but the Jeep is still running today (must have been at least 5 years ago). |
