With any luck you can pull it back up with a long mechanic's maganite, but, if you're sure it splashed then its safely in the pan and as long as several verifications of turning it over by hand don't reveal any binding, then I would forget about it. Also you'll want to verify that it's too big too fit through the drain plug, as that's a possible but unlikely way to fish it out also. If it landed near the plug, and it wont fit through the hole, then you might be able to pass it up to a second maganite up top, BUT, you risk getting it lodged in the balance shaft assembly, and then you would have to pull the engine. I would make certain it's in the pan bottom (big strong speaker maganite might work) one way or another before starting the engine. And I wouldn't pull the motor if it is in the pan...
