Best thing to do with ceramic glow plugs is to throw them in the trash.
They can destroy an engine.

A few years ago #4 glow plug quit working, I replaced all four with 7 volt steel. I have the three remaining 7 volt OE ceramic sitting on the shelf, If you or you know someone that could use these these they are for sale, minimal cost plus shipping and you can have them. These have been proven to cause severe internal engine damage when they fail - this is why they were recalled and no longer used. You may find better starting performance swapping to the 5v steel plugs but KEEP the 7v software programming you currently have. The 5v plug will not be damaged or have a shorter lifespan, but the starting performance is much improved in cold weather. |
