Is anyone familiar with the following Timing Belt Kit?

I am going to be visiting family in the UK this spring and this kit looks like it fits our Liberty CRD's. The parts listed in the kit cross-reference to Mopar P/N's in our KJ's. The price is certainly appealing, I might pick one up to try it out unless someone confirms it won't work?

The dayco belts are tighter and thereby more difficult to install. More likely to end up buggering the threads of the timing cover...

Interesting...what would make the belt tighter? If it is the same length as the Gates what would cause the tighter fit? Belt thickness?

Probably slightly less pliable rubber I'd guess

the teeth could also be slightly wider or deeper causing the teeth to not bottom out in the groove or bottom out but stick up a little more so to speak, I don't think I have used anything but gates though

what I would be much more worried about is the quality of the tensioner and bearing and idler bearings. They may be good , I haven't researched this kit.

100% guarantee that the bearings will be Chinesium trash - even Litens had switched as of about 2014 from (much better) NTN Japanese bearings for the tensioner to a no-name Chinesium knockoff... BUT B/c Litens is aware of their reputation, has tried to hide the "china" silkscreened on the bearing's inner race under the pressed-in center of their spring cartridge.

I would guess that this Dayco version doesn't try to hide any of the china naming on it, and the question is... We know that China would counterfeit a ham sandwich if they thought it could steal market share from another country and make them a buck or two. Is this the kind of "quality" that you want to bet your engine on?

Over 125 CRDs currently driving with my timing belt, rockers, or ARP Studs.
Bad noises = REALLY bad things.

Well...after weighing the options I decided on the INA Kit, found one while I was in the UK for a little over $50 USD. When I inspected the parts in the kit all bearings are marked NTN and made in Canada. The tensioner is branded Litens and also made in Canada. I think I lucked out finding this kit for such a low price...they must have been blowing them out or something! Now to get to work...
