New repetitive Clunk sound underneath on coasting/deceleration just started ... Is it the Transfer Case, Drive shaft, Differentials, or something else? = check out the Youtube Video I uploaded below and let me know what you think, and what the remedies might be. Thanks! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uidN4hHDBIw&feature=youtu.be

Please, any help is really appreciated.

I would say check the motor mounts first. Hold the brake, hard, on firm pavement and put the vehicle in drive. Then, switch to reverse and back to drive repeatedly giving enough time to let the transmission shift in between. If the mounts are bad you'll hear a fairly noticeable clunk when shifting one way or the other. If either are bad, replace both.

If the mounts seem good then I would crawl underneath and check the driveshaft u-joints for play, yolk for radial play, cv-joint for radial play, and finally the front prop shaft for a damaged boot or obvious binding.

Let us know if any of that helps...or not!

Thanks APC9199!

I figured it out while searching the internet for similar symptoms, and called the auto-shop to ask them to check on the lug-nuts. I guess I should have taken the tires off first, before driving it into the shop ... They confirmed it had a broken lug-nut stud. Now I just need to decide on whether I order one or wait for them to order it... And install the new lug-nut stud. They said the aftermarket lug-nut studs they have for this don't fit. They'll need to order one and it'll take a day or so.

Anyone have a part number for our lug-nut studs?

Or does anyone have a recommendation about the type (brand) and vendor to buy one from quickly?

Thanks in advance!

I know you found the problem but another likely and possibly more common cause of that symptom than any mentioned is universal joint failure just in case anyone else looks at this thread with that problem, though there would likely be vibration on deceleration at particular speeds too.
