This isn't a 5.9 Cummins
You won't hear much from the turbo even under full load. When you DO start to hear the turbo in the CRD, it usually indicates that trouble is on the way. Everything should be normal with what you are hearing now.

Hi all, new crd owner here, I have done the weeks stage 1 and 2 timing belt and rockers. my obd reads boost of about 22 lbs max, but I do not hear the turbo whine only the exhaust whooshing sound on acceleration. is this normal I'm not sure what I should hear on this vehicle or what the boost should be. Thanks |
