 Post subject: Crankshaft Sensor

In the link you will see a pic of what I saw when my son was replacing a crankshaft sensor today. BTW there was a code that did display crankshaft sensor as the culprit though it was already strongly suspected. The first time it quit at highway speed it was 15 miles from home and was going about 35 miles . when it restarted made it the rest of the way. on the way home only made it 3-10 miles at a time. We did have my wife on standby if necessary and we had a boat on the back.

I suspect the washer was actually on the ledge just below the sensor and the sensor magnet just picked it up on way out. Hopefully wasn't supposed to stay inside as I haven't had anything come out with the other 3 I have changed. We will see in a couple hours. Had to take a break.
