It sure answers some possibilities. I would bet dollars to donuts that the cam seals are to blame either from mileage or improper installation of the valve cover itself.
Looks like I'll have to remove the valve cover and check on the seals and plugs on the back of the engine.
It will be a good time to do rockers and ARP's I guess.

Have you considered adding some UV dye to the oil and then using a UV light to pinpoint the oil leak before disassembling the engines top half?
Add it to your oil and use a small UV flashlight and it will tell you exactly where the leak is coming from.
Many parts stores sell it and a light as well as being available online.
Good stuff for locating a leak!
