darn, been replacing my head gasket and the head failed the pressure test, leaking from under an intake valve seat, machinist said I need a new head. Anyone have one for sale? Resources? |

This is the third time I've heard about a possible cracked head from above a valve seat. Hmm... The best value on heads is from The VM Specialist, they are about $400 shipped from the UK. They are a "breaker" or junk yard over there, so this will be a used head but every one that I have seen from them has been a good unit to install once they have fresh valves installed. Do not get the valves from them, get them packaged from IDparts so you know they are brand new. I love IDparts for most things, but they are limited in what their suppliers charge, especially on low volume items. The cost for the head from them is nuts. |
