Mopar Parts Giant still list the 5142661AA part number as being available. ![]() I would call them. https://www.moparpartsgiant.com/parts/m ... dition+4WD) There have been a few on this forum who have totally removed their fan and bracket so you may be able to find a good used one. Bone Yards? or See this post: this person replaced just the bearing:> viewtopic.php?p=920403&sid=398de3568eccf92a8027aa6ce009ca51#p920403 VM Specialist Ltd in England may also be a source for the part. http://www.vmdieselspecialist.com/ Good luck! |

Got an email from mopargiant saying order has been canceled ![]() The fan bracket (bearing) has been discontinued ![]() Now I will be looking to bypass the fan bracket if I can decipher all the post on the subject ![]() All I need is to bypass is the fan bracket ( I have already bypassed the coolant to the VH ) leaving the pulley. |

That's bad news. But confirms what I already believed to be true. Looks like its a junk yard only part ![]() I'm gonna to run to local bearing shop tomorrow to see if they can find a replacement. Bypassing the fan bracket it easy. Finding a correct length belt is more difficult. Might take some trial and error. |

If we can come up with a number for just the bearing, it should be easy to replace it. If we can not get a number, then an inside, an outside, and thickness measurement will tell us enough to cross it over to a number. Anyone got an old one they can check for a bearing number or can measure? |

WolverineFW wrote: Mine is out right now...I will take a look when I get home. Measurement must be very accurate. Most bearings have their part numbers engraved on the bearings themselves, but these often rub off over time and so it may be necessary to measure the bearing yourself to determine the correct part number. How to Measure Bearings:> http://motorsportsbearings.com/how-to-m ... rings.html Once you have the dimentions in mm, you can use this tool to find a bearing:> http://webtools3.skf.com/BearingCalc/se ... uct.action You can measure the dimensions of a bearing by using a vernier caliper like the one below. If it is in thousands of an inch, you can convert them to mm. ![]() |
