Yep....if they have not opened it, it stays in your outbox.

Thanks! So much for sending PM's or people not reading them... :banghead:

This is why my signature line says to email me - the PM system has not worked right on the board here in about 4 years. It is supposed to send out email notifications of a PM sitting there, hasn't done that and it doesn't always pop up when the recipient logs in either. If they don't see the "X new messages!" in the upper left... Then who knows when they might see it.

Sounds like the "Software" needs a little "tune-up"? :ROTFL:

The last time I sent an ECM to GDE to change VIN on a tune the charge was $50 and they reprogrammed it and had it back in the outward mail the same day. I was without it for a total of 4 days. Great Service !!

PM sent and please post that you do or don't receive it the last couple sent are still in my outbox not sure if its a problem on my end or not.

I can also reprogram an ECU to your vehicle, but I need your SKIM, key, and PIN to do it, and it sounds like GDE has a pretty quick turnaround which I cannot necessarily do either.

Just a update. Finally back on the road. Ended up buying a Gateway module from Poland. Well that did not get me running. Was told the original Gateway module was bad and not rebuildable by a company in FL. Could not believe the replacement was bad as well. It ended up being a broken splice in the engine wiring harness. The break was just before the radiator overflow in the main harness. It was a three wire splice.

Its been a long road. Thanks to all. If it was not for this site, I would have gotten rid of the vehicle a long time ago.

thanks for update , glad you got it going. I too suspect even the original gateway was not faulty.

Broken wire probably touched ground and fried the Gateway Module....would need to know the colors of the wire in question.

Does not matter now...good that you got your Jeep running again.

AS these Jeeps get older I am sure wiring problems such as this are going to become more common :(

It is a good idea to be proactive and inspect your wiring looms if you have not and replace the protective coverings.
New coverings can be bought at most any parts store or on line.
I recovered most of mine on the engine a couple years ago after reading a post by a LOST member of a short he found behind the alternator bracket where the wires had rubbed.
Cheap insurance, some wire loom and some electrical tape!
