First off sorry for a repost if this is one. I have searched the site as well as the web looking for info concerning my question. So here it goes. I have. 2005 crd limited with broke auto tranny. I have found a 2005 limited v6 with a manual transmission. If I had the 05 v6 gasser will the transmission swap into the jeep. Not worried about the electronics as of yet just wondering the hard parts will swap. |

some export CRD's were manual 6 speed. I have a 2007 manual CRD as well as an auto 2006. The electronics will be a problem. The previous 5 speed in the export XJ diesel is a much stronger box. There have been a few over here swap out the 6 speed to a 5. |

Agreed, a 2002-2004 KJ NV3550 is a better swap. |

I appreciate the info and yes the NSG370 gearbox would not be my first choice it was just the fact that I can buy a whole v6 liberty with manual transmission for 1000 bucks. Hell a quality torque converter will run me almost that. So say I am a gluten for punishment and do this anyway are there upgraded clutches available or should I say what will factory clutch ch handle for torque? |
