Just curious if anyone know the status of GDE and their KJ products. Their website lists our tunes as out of stock and there is only a recorded msg on their telephone line. What's up?

I worked with them last week (on the phone and via email) for Trans tune/program and new ECM tune. So if something happened, it just did.

I am concerned also. All tunes show sold out.

I just received something from them a couple weeks ago, so again anything that might of happened would be very recent.

Maybe they went on vacation. Just sent ECM to them about 2 weeks ago for transfer of tune got it back quickly.. Not sure any way the tunes could be out of stock except maybe the tool. They would still be excellent tunes even if didn't close egr etc which can be done manually. The trans tunes do say they are available. If they pass the emissions tests it shouldn't matter, but we know the government doesn't work that way. Guess thats what happened to weeks kit etc.

Something DID transpire, and it was very recent. I don't have any other information right now other than speculation, they haven't gotten back to me either.

Just called GDE's number (248 977 9531). Got a recording (and this is not verbatim, but close enough for government work) to the effect of, 'our web store is paused at this time while we look into and understand changes within the industry'.

Not sure what's happening, and I don't want to go off on tangents of wild speculation since we just don't know. For me it's a real bummer since I was getting ready to send in the KJ's ECU in a couple of weeks, but it looks like it's a wait-and-see situation.

Hopefully all the products and services will be available maybe just without some electronic "cutoffs "etc that can otherwise be accomplished
Everything they have done literally helps the environment in my opinion they should be given an innovation reward by appropriate agency etc.

Most likely they are history in the tune department unless they get some of their tunes certified and approved by the EPA like Gale Banks has done.
But you can always contact Yeti since he is not in the US and does not have to abide by EPA BS.

If I were GDE I would consider forming a new company in another country to do business from or if thats not possible sell or give if not legal to sell the rights to the tunes etc to a non us company and then maybe work as a consultant etc. The possibilities are endless but of course must be done legally. Maybe Yetti could run the business etc. Politicians have been doing similar things for decades. The main thing would be to make sure its done legally and maybe not part of any possible agreement with the EPA.
