I am looking for the rear crank carrier for an '05 CRD... I don't really care if it's new or used, so long as it's intact! |

I have the original 06 engine from mine (86,000 miles) that I tore down, it was running perfect but the block cracked and I had to replace it. All the parts should be in the box and they have all been stored inside. I cannot guarantee parts other than the engine worked fine before I tore it down. I had always used quality Synthetic oil. Send me a picture of what your looking for I may have one. |

The rear crankshaft carrier is an aluminum doodad that's inserted on the back of the block. It's bolted with 5 bolts, and holds the rear main seal. Mine isn't out, but I suspect it's circular. It's the big silver thing in this picture: ![]() I'd potentially also be interested in one or more bearing housings, mostly to compare to what I find in my motor. They look like this: https://www.idparts.com/jeep-crd-crank- ... -6164.html |
