Problem: Something is misaligned / tilted where the "wishbone" connects to the body on the RR side.

After going through 3 factory units, I decided to get Rock Iron's replacement upgrade, using WW Diesel's differential bracket. Both are well built and very beefy!

During the installation I noted that the right side connection at the body looked tilted, but thought maybe it needed to self adjust.

Well, after several months, it still doesn't seat properly and is quite tilted (see attached photos).

I took several measurements to see what the problem might be. I couldn't come to a consensus on the problem.

Things I checked: Body bracket: apparent issues could be seen. Rock Iron has nothing bent that I could assess.

I did various measurements and could not come up with any thing other than POSSIBLY the bracket that is factory welded to the body was misaligned somehow. This appears to be the only real answer, but yet does not seem likely.

I'm very sure it has nothing to do with the Rock Iron wishbone or the WW Diesel's differential bracket, as all previous factory UCA's behaved the same way as is noted in one photo (all the rubber is worn off after only 1 year). The other side showed only signs of normal wear.

This is the RR that is quite tilted.

Worn rubber bushing from previous OEM control arm

This is the left rear: fits as it should

I can't figure it out other than a factory OEM misalignment of the bracket ????

Added note: The Jeep has never been in an accident of any kind. Always garaged w/ 140K miles.

Just a thought, is the "IRONROCK OFF ROAD" text when reading it facing "UP" toward the body as pictured below when installed?
It will install ether way, but upside down would put the body end bushings in a serious bind. The HEIM joint would not be affected.

This is the only picture I have of the RR body mount that shows the mounting angle. Let me know if you need more.

Yes, it's installed as per their instructions (and your px).

Really an odd situation.

My initial thought was that I had unequal lengths of the rear springs, but as near as I can tell, there's some minor discrepancies but not enough to cause it to be tilted as much as it is.

It's almost like there's a twist in the body at the location of where the wishbone connects to the body.

It's turning into a real head scratcher.

Thinking of pulling the rear wheels off and take some more measurements and eyeball it from that perspective.

Let me know if there is anyway I can help, i.e. pictures, measurements etc...

Thanks. Hopefully I'll know more after removing the rear wheels to get a better look. :5SHOTS:

There seems to be no twist or other anomaly going on with the Iron Rock arm. The OEM had the same issue, so it's not any of the UCA's problem. Hope to do a more in-depth assessment some time this weekend.
