After experimenting with a wk and finding I miss the both of my previous CRD’s, I’ve been looking for another. The WK CRD is better handling than the Liberty CRD, but the Libby was like a goat off road or in the winter compared to the WK.

I found this one on Craigslist:

https://reno.craigslist.org/cto/d/fallo ... 7859.html#

Was wondering if anyone is familiar with it? Would be a good road trip excuse. If not I’ll likely keep looking on the eastern seaboard for a lower mile 06. Or a project. I found a couple of those, but they are north of here and I wonder about the rust up there.

Good looking ride! That thing would look mean with some Renegade fender flares

It sure would. Its a great vehicle and we like it. I wanted it to be my hunting rig, but decoys, sled, and waders are not kind to an SUV. I wish it were a pickup of similar size.

Nice looking rig and priced pretty fair. I bought one from a guy I think named Kevin Lifletter or something like that about 2011-12. It didn't appear to have any rust problems but last couple years has had some rust under plastic trim below doors and another I got from St louis has some also but not as bad.

I use mine for hunting with carrier in hitch that is made to also provide a hitch behind it but can't put much tongue weight on it and I wouldn't pull more than about 2 thousand pounds. Of course you have the roof too.

Yeah, I have a large Yakima roof carrier that most of the hunting gear goes in for my longer outings. The only problem I have with the CRD when hunting deer is that the only place for the deer to go when I have the roof carrier on, is in the rear with the seats folded down! I should have taken a picture of the Arizona Muley I drove home about a month ago in the back. Not ideal, but it gets the job done! haha!

One of the high riding rear cargo racks works well. Although I'm always packing out boned-out meat, so I dont have so much bulk. But, solves the pools of blood on a tarp issue!
-fits 2 large coolers nicely also which would fit deer quarters

Just thought I'd let you know that your old red one is doing great and my wife really enjoys driving it :)

Flash, I miss it, but I’m glad she’s enjoying it. I do like the WK. i love the way it looks and I have been slowly working on it. But I miss the little KJ and it fit better for what I want out of it. I doubt I’ll find another with miles that low or in that kind of shape. And with GDE out of the picture I’m not sure the power will be what I’m used to with the kJ unless I find one that’s tuned.

I use a rear cargo rack on mine at times and it works very well and doesn't affect mileage much at all. Usually if I am duck hunting and need many decoys I will be hauling a boat that will hold everything.
