I just realized that Murphys in Kettering had diesel for 2.66 today. That was only 2cents higher than regular. And around 20 cents cheaper than nearby stations. And you can get 3cents/gal off if you buy the Wal-Mart gift card.

Does anyone have a suggestion on where or where not to buy diesel in this area? Anyone use the Pacific Pride on Needmore road?

Can't help, as I have not been in Dayton for the hamfest in the last 5 years. Enjoy the 2.66 fuel, just paid 3.03 here in Philly Pa.

For what it's worth... I just filled up at a Murphy/Walmart last Friday for the very first time because the diesel was $.20 cheaper than anywhere else. The Liberty seems to like it o.k. and my mileage seems to be on par with what I usually get or maybe a bit better.

I usually avoid Walmart at all costs because it's a madhouse at all times of the day and night, but the cheap diesel made me pull in.

Buy diesel from places that turn over allot of fuel. If you buy based on price you could learn a hard lesson!

Yep, a lesson with a price tag that has too many 0's in the price. Been there, done that.

What would be considered a lot of fuel? I am going to call the manager back tomorrow and find out how much they sell. I do know that there is at least one trucking company that uses them and I see rigs there often.

The actual quantity that they sell is less important than the ratio of sales to storage. In other words, you don't want fuel that has been sitting in their tank for more than a month.

Bought diesel at Murphys and noticed no difference same MPG power etc.

Bought diesel at Bp on needmore rd. Saw noticeable loss in power. More engine noise. Lower mileage. OH and 20 cents more per gallon!! Added a bit of Power Service about halfway through tank and that lowered the sound and improved performance a bit.
