Random hanging tube

Hey ya’ll

I was bouncing around the trail and this tube started hanging and dragging the ground as I drove.

I’ve got it tucked away now, everything is driving fine but what is this thing and should I be concerned? https://imgur.com/gallery/31Rdd3p

Looks like an axle / transmission breather tube.

Check the plastic valve on the end for damage, replace if necessary. It should be up as high as you can reasonably get it to prevent water ingress.

It is the vent hose for the transfer case.

Awesome thanks guys, looks like the plastic valve is in good condition so I'll get that pinned back up as high as I can and call it fixed!
