Post subject:  MAP sensor bolt specs

Tonight, I decided to clean out the KJ's MAP sensor. In doing so, the bolt holding the MAP sensor to the manifold went off into never-never land. An hour of searching before it got too dark to continue means that it's gone.

Does anyone have the specs for this bolt? I don't give a darn about keeping the Torx head, but this is the one bolt needed for any sensor attached to the engine that the parts fiche doesn't show.

I don't have it but guess would be m8x1.0. I have one I can get to pretty easy on extra intake cover but nothing to size it against unless carry it to Lowes etc. Surely someone will know. It was available via ID parts see link

The OEM part no. is: 5010858AA
From memory it is a 4mm or 5mm bolt. I am leaning toward the 5mm.
Just get one of each from your local hardware store and you will be covered.
M 4mm x 0.7 x 12mm length
M 5mm x 0.8 x 12mm length

Survey says... M5x0.8, 16mm length. 12mm works just fine, but the manifold is tapped down to at least 16mm.

Thanks, folks! I owe both of you a... Something :SOMBRERO:

If you need a similar one, it’s possible to find one on the Internet. Once, I lost a bolt from a MAP sensor, and none of the shops in my area had it.
