Post subject:  CRD Timing Sanity Check

Just need double check with you guys, did all the timing, studied it thoroughly, started the jeep ran few seconds, turned off. It did rev up briefly but no sensors like air mess or etc is plugged in no turbo nothing, just checking the belt. It came back down and idol fine.

I'm concerned with position of belt as its a little far back...the old one was pretty well all the way forward. But it's tension was also less, maybe due to wear, not sure

What do yall think? Will it work its way to center more? As far as I can tell nothing is rubbing or anything like that on the back plate.

Thx

Don't know how to post pictures; try this?

I also tried to remove pulley from alternator with good quality 10mm socket and an impact. Not happening. Incredible it stripped the bolt before it would let go! Not sure what gonna do now lol. Ridiculous
