| Post subject: | Power Steering Leak |
In 135,000 miles, I may have added a bit of fluid once. Then this morning it was making noises, especially when turned hard. Sure enough, the reservoir was pretty empty. I added fluid and it works fine and doesn’t drip. But, the bellows on the passenger side is pretty wet. And the lines where they cross above the stabilizer bar (I think those are PS lines?) are also wet. What do the experts think? Does the wet bellows indicate a rack problem? What are my options? Thanks. |

Remove front skid plate clean everything really good with engine degreaser. Then you will be able to locate the leaks and figure how bad they are. The rack is not too expensive but it's a hell of a job, the pressure hose is really expensive....And it's a hell of a job too!!!!!

Thanks PZK. Doesn’t sound too appealing... |
