It seems the thread for recommended shops is gone? Or am I just unable to find it? Looking for someone in Northeast Connecticut, central Mass or Rhode Island area. Any recommendations? Thanks. |

What are you looking to have done? I'm the traveling CRD tech, this is the ONLY vehicle I work on and I've helped over 110 of them now. I do the CRD-specific engine work on these in the driveway of the owners. |

Hi Geordi, I think I need a steering rack. I haven’t positively rued out a leaking hose, but it doesn’t look too good. Do you do them, what are your thoughts and when might you be up here? Thanks. |

I'm not really set up to do something like that in someone's driveway, but it would also likely be cheaper to do with any Jeep specialist shop - b/c the steering system really isn't CRD specific. |

And it seems they aren’t making the diesel ones anymore. Mine is leaking from a rusted portion of the hard line. So my plan is to take it out and bring it to a hydraulic hose shop and get them to make up something to replace it. |

I guess I was lucky to find one last winter !!!!! |

So I wonder, what does the dealer say if you bring the vehicle in to them to fix a PS leak? Wanna buy a new car? |
