Has anyone had any experience with the sets that are offered on eBay for about $170 for both or $100 for just rockers. It seems they are shipped from europe but are an aftermarket brand. |

I bought a complete new set from ID parts. If your lash adjusters are still good, you could probably get away with just rockers. However, look carefully at them. The older style lash adjusters are crimped at the top and those are known to come apart over time. The newer ones are held together with a internal snap ring. |

I bought a new set from Europe on eBay for a Jeep I sold early on and they are different because they are missing a squirted hole on the top to oil the cam in an earlier version of the engine...just stick with the new ones from ID parts or Sasquatch parts, both are very reputable sources with good parts... just my 2c as a professional mechanic and shop owner Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Yeah I was just wondering if anyone had actually used them for a significant length of time. I have replaced 3 sets from ID Parts pretty sure they were made in Poland and I got 2 sets from VM Specialists when I ordered 2 heads. and they were identical. I dont have any old style left in any of my CRDs . A friend bought a used one and wanted me to do TB Rockers and ARP and exhaust valves on it and was trying to save some money on parts. I told them the pic showed no crimp but top angle looked different on "lifters" but who knows about the bearing/steel quality so I wouldn't recommend them . I dont know if these had a hole to oil cams or not. |
