Broke the timing pin (1/4 drill bit) in flex plate. Hand cranked and forgot to remove. Any ideas to get out? |

This is how I broke it. After timing belt, I pulled the cam pins and got distracted. When I Came back I started to hand crank and heard a ping and the bit hit the floor. My bad. I have the starter out and the bolt access out. I am going to try to snake a magnet between the ring gear and bell housing. I have hand cranked several times and installed pins each time. Timing is good and it cranks good by hand. Just worried about the 1 inch of drill bit laying on the bottom of bell housing. Any ideas are much appreciated. |

Magnet on a string to drag across the bottom. Or, drool some sort of adhesive to fix it in place, maybe silicon. |

one inch hole saw and a magnet. Used cell phone camera to see it, but could not get with magnet. Easy once I drilled hole. I put a plug in after I got it out. |
