I am sure that I blew my turbo as i have no boost, and lots of white smoke out the exhaust. Should I go buying just a replacement turbo or is there something more reliable or better in general? Any advice would be appreciated.

Low boost, bad turbo or busted boost hose, generally causes black smoke (unburned fuel) to exit from the exhaust pipe.
If the turbo blew an oil seal and is leaking oil internally, from the engine, that can cause lots of smoke, check your engine oil level.
If it is sucking engine oil, DO NOT RUN IT, very dangerous, could cause a runaway engine.
White smoke can also be caused by coolant getting into the combustion chamber, i.e. blown head gasket or cracked head.
Have you checked your coolant tank level?

Several things can cause low/no boost, I wouldn’t assume it’s a bad turbo right off. It’s usually something else in fact, can be electrical, or vacuum, or hoses etc.
