CCV valve or the puck

Is the puck supposed to have an o ring?

I bought a o ring with my puck and I was going to look and see where the prong on my old puck was but it didn’t have one. Now I’m wondering if it’s even supposed to have one.

Any O ring that is rated for oil and heat.
