I have a few leftover parts from my "recent" work...

1. Brand new Gates serpentine belt (I had replaced mine, then ordered the idparts kit not realizing it came with a new belt)
2. Old-style fuel head (I had no issues, but replaced with the new-style while the engine was out)
3. Complete set of old rockers (No issues, but replaced mine when the head was out)
4. Complete set of intake & exhaust valves (I know a couple of the intake valves are out of spec)
5. Turbo oil drain (replaced with the idparts flexible drain)
6. Original CRD fan & clutch (replaced with electric; also have the shroud, actually)

Probably 3 & 4 are useless, but figured I'd offer.

Sooooo, is the old shroud for sale then? If so, what's your location?

Sale? Happy to give it away. It has a chunk missing from the top, but nothing that prevented it from installing or working as designed... just a lazy mechanic at some point.

I'm in northern California.... it's surely light enough to ship, but may be costly due to the size.

Hmmm, true, shipping may be costly all the way to KY. Maybe somebody closer is needing one. Free is nice though.

Being shroudless hasn't been an issue for me so far though...

It can live in the garage for a little bit - I can justify keeping it around while I get the electric fan dialed in. Once that happens, it'll go in the trash.

I just suffered a dropped valve. One of the rockers on the affected cylinder has a crack. I'm interested in one of yours to replace it. Apparently there are two styles, or stepped. Mine are stepped. Let me know if your able to ship to Charleston,SC

I will get them out of the garage and get a picture for you... I've only ever seen the ones I removed, so I've nothing to compare against. ;)

Here is a very high res photo of some valves and some rockers - you can see the worn part on some stems - not all are worn but many are. The rockers all appear in good shape.

Those are the same rockers I have. I noticed on mine, some lifters would have a perfectly circular wear spot on the tip. Others looked kind of smudged. The crack in mine was very obvious. Next to center roller on bottom of frame.

I couldn't find anything wrong with these rockers... and I had no outwards signs of issue. But, since the engine was out I decided to go through everything (except the bottom end, though I did take it apart to look!). I figured it was never going to be easier. :)

Check the wear mark on your lifters. I'm interested to see if any of yours are smudged or all a dot. I've got a different head and valves, so only previous wear would be the roller against the cam
