LJ search function just doesn't like me. I know this has been brought up before but everything I search for I get the search didn't find anything. s I topic says it ran fine one day and the next loss of power, rolling coal. Before I got it home got the under boost code. Pulled the MAP (IAT) sensor and it was just a glob of goo on it. Tried cleaning. Put a new one in today. No codes but lack of power and still rolling coal. Check the vacuum readings, ok. Check to see it turbo actuator is working, it is. Air filter is only a few months old. maybe 1k miles on it. What do I check next? Thanks |

Things that come to mind: Does it still have EGR in operation? If so, the EGR valve could be stuck open and loosing boost backwards through it. Have you checked your boost hoses real good for any leaks, tears, etc...where you could be loosing boost. On the MAP sensor, pull it back off and run a piece of heavy wire down in the sensor's hole on top of the intake and make sure the inside of the intake has not bridged over with goo to where the new MAP senor cannot get a proper reading. Check the air suction boot/pipe between the air box and the turbo inlet and make sure it has not collapsed or come apart and is stopping up air flow going into the turbo inlet. Cleaned out the IAT port. I'm running the ERG delete from Yeti. Runs fine at low speeds. On hwy slow to accelerate. MAP is 16 -17 psi. |

Can you tie the performance issue to engine speed versus road speed? What you describe sort of sounds like a clogged cat. |

synthetic If you want to search further for this or other issues there have been threads about other ways to do this WW had good input on those threads. I just use my regular search engine like google and then add lost jeeps at the end . |

It was so bad that it wouldn't build pressure. I set the regulator on the compressor to 20 psi. I have a valve that I can slowly bring up the pressure. |
