Intercooler Hose Replacement

I've found the source of my boost leak, a crack in the silicone hose where it couples to the turbo, this is the RH/DS hose. There's been an annoying whoosh under boost for the last couple months. Doesn't seem to affect the power, but clearly air has been leaking under boost.

The PO had installed a pair of IDparts silicone hoses, but even they will fail eventually. From all reports the original factory hoses don't have much life expectancy.

Hopefully I'll be able to buy just the one needed hose, I've emailed IDparts about buying just that side.
Ebay has individual factory rubber hoses for sale in the UK, but with shipping they're running ~$100.
The upgraded pair is circa $300. There's a possibility that I might get away with trimming and stretching
the existing hose enough to get onto the flange. I've been loathe to remove it though without a new part
in hand, it's going to be a bit tricky to get to the T-bolt clamp.

Any tips on installation or sources appreciated.

Just a thought; If you can't get a single boost hose replacement,
cut your existing damaged hose in half in the middle where it is straight, add a short piece of metal exhaust tubing of the correct diameter to provide a snug fit to the inside diameter of the boost hose. The exhaust tubing should be plenty long enough to compensate for cutting off the damaged split end and allow a good grip on both ends of the cut boost hose when clamped. Cut off the bad split part on the end of the boost hose and reattach it to the turbo. Use a couple of good "T" bolt clamps to clamp the hose onto the exhaust tubing.
Cost $$: 1 short piece of exhaust tubing and 2 new "T" bolt clamps.... :wink:

Tip: Most any exhaust shop should be able to provide you with a short piece of exhaust tubing; heck they may even provide you a scrap piece for free that you can use....

That's a great idea. You can also buy hose couplers expressly for this purpose, beaded to ensure the hose doesn't slip off. IDK if this is the right size, but as an example -

Thanks for the great idea WW, but turns out I managed to trim the hose and get it back on albeit an inch or so shorter. Just back from a burn around town and hit the highway for a couple of miles.Running better than ever before! I must have been losing a bit of air even before the "whoosh" surfaced.
Cost, zero, although access to that darn bolt involved a bit of cursing. Persistence pays! But I'll confess I don't enjoy the contortions to get a 1/6 of a turn at a time. I did not tighten as much as the original installation, seems to be holding just fine. Might even get an increase in FE.
