All aluminum?

Do you have or plan for a winter cover for the front or do you even drive it in the winter up there? Or does it even matter?

Yes sir. All aluminum. No, I don't drive it in the winter, up here. We are planning an extended trip south for winters in the future, if that works out, we will trailer it out behind a motorhome.

If I do have a problem, I will have a cold front made for it.

Is the map sensor in the intake manifold what reads the intake air temperature?

Yes, it is a dual sensor, it reads both air temperature and pressure. See below for specifications.
