When you re-pinned the ECM to run without all the Jeep side of things, are you just simply removing those wires? Or are you pulling wires out and swapping their position in the ECM so everything runs properly? Or are any wires that you add are to make the dash and other things work properly?
Re-pinning really interests me. How do you know what wires should go where if you’re swapping them around? I assume you reference a wiring schematic.

I spent $300 on a factory Jeep Repair manual. And I will say it is worth its weight in gold. I did find online after I bought it that I could download it, so I have that one now as well.
Surprisingly these are basically setup to be stand-a-lone from the factory... I say basically a little loosely.. But, I ended up with 3 wires for the (ECM, TCM, and Front mounted computer) that were getting there power from the Body Control Module. So I ran a separate fuse panel that I powered with a relay and key on power. I have not ran it yet, but I turned it over the other day with the key on my fj40.
I should be starting it in a week, I want to have coolant in it before starting it, the last couple days I have been working on getting the exhaust hooked up.
I lost anything to do with the dash... Which in my case was just fine, I already had a Dakota Digital dash in my 40. So I just ran a second set of sensors for that. The same as it was with the VW swap.
Dakota Digital has a module that will plug into the DLC that should give me the CEL , so I think I am gonna try that.
I did de-pin some things that I am no longer gonna use. Such as the EGR, Flap valve, Viscous heater, MAF sensor, transfer case wires. When I put the scan tool on it after disconnecting the ABS, BCM, it just said, No communication with.... module.
Sorry for the late response.
Soon we will see if it worked. I just don't want to run it until I get the radiator in it and coolant added...
