Here I am after Creating LOSTKJs 18 years ago...lol

Wondering if I should just buy a new rear end diff or add a DTT replacement...?

Any Good Suggestions?

Just replaced the Tranny with a Rebuild Jasper Tranny that works like new...

Are you referring to a Detroit TrueTrac...I had one in the front and back of my 2002 Jeep Liberty and they were great...except in AWD (Part-Time) it affected the steering. For the rear it might be the best choice...

A few years ago, I replaced my open rear differential carrier with a new OEM type limited slip Dana Trac-Lock carrier. It fits my needs perfectly, since I don't do any real serious difficult off roading. Price was a little cheaper than going with full blown locker and has better driving manners..... It works perfectly!
I would not want a locker in the front differential, read to many bad stories and reports on the weak Dana 30A aluminum front differential case cracking when running lockers up front.
Simply not worth the risk in my opinion. :juggle:

The steering was affected because you where probably driving too fast for part-time.....

For what its worth, I am running air lockers front and rear. Great setup for me and it worked like a champ when I wheeled at MOAB this year. I was able to keep up with the big boys in my group with 35-37" tires with much bigger lifts than I had.

Key for front locker was know when to use them (ie lock them before hitting an obstacle) and keep a light foot on the pedal. We all know that our little tractors puts out a good amount of torque and if you get that one wheel spinning (open diff) and then it all of a sudden catches on a rock, your front diff is toast. Keeping both tires locked keeps the tire spin to a minium and less chance of breakage.

Bonus was my little onboard air compressor was able to air back up after the trail for the ride back to camp. Wish it was a newer pump though  so it wouldn't take forever.
