For what its worth, I am running air lockers front and rear. Great setup for me and it worked like a champ when I wheeled at MOAB this year. I was able to keep up with the big boys in my group with 35-37" tires with much bigger lifts than I had.
Key for front locker was know when to use them (ie lock them before hitting an obstacle) and keep a light foot on the pedal. We all know that our little tractors puts out a good amount of torque and if you get that one wheel spinning (open diff) and then it all of a sudden catches on a rock, your front diff is toast. Keeping both tires locked keeps the tire spin to a minium and less chance of breakage.
Bonus was my little onboard air compressor was able to air back up after the trail for the ride back to camp. Wish it was a newer pump though
so it wouldn't take forever.
