So: large, open-air Frame def significantly reduced throttle-on smoke.
However, I'm starting to wonder if the tbelt did indeed skip a tooth. Anybody have detailed experience with 'one-tooth-off' symptoms?
It doesn't misfire, but maybe it is a tad gutless. Not mucho, but a bit. And then there's this freakn temp issue.
I recall that when gas motors are off-timed they can spike temps quicker, but oilers? Not so sure that would be such a bold symptom.

Recent (custom) turbo oil supply line, including the original banjo fitting welded onto a compatible fitting. Note the stock solid feed line, twisted in aggravation during removal, lol:
I also reamed/cleaned-polished the oil restrictor to twice it's original diameter. Beergineering def, but I don't want to sweat whether the turbo is getting adequately lubed:
